eBay's philanthropic arm has announced its recipients of this year's 2023 Global Give grants, with 32 organizations receiving a total of $3 million to help tackle some of the world's most pressing issues.
The San Francisco-based eBay Foundation has been awarding grants since 2009, and this year's recipients are organizations working to "remove barriers to entrepreneurship for people who identify with historically excluded groups," the foundation said in a press release.
Among the recipients: Start Out: "Uplifting LGBTQ+ Voices."
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland: "Accelerating Social Change Through the Power of People."
ETIC: "Developing the Next Generation Entrepreneursial Training for Innovative Communities."
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland: "The number of people interested in starting social enterprises has grown significantly over the last 30 years."
Start Out: " LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs have found that although LGBTQ+ founders raise 16% less funding for their startups compared to the average founder, they create 36% more jobs, secure 114% more patents, and have 44% more exits."
